The Totana City Council is going to urge the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia to approve a regional Youth Shock Plan and adopt rescue measures for the youth of the Region of Murcia in the face of the crisis caused by COVID- 19.This was agreed by the municipal plenary session in its last session, unanimously and at the initiative of the Municipal Socialist Group, with a battery of measures to be adopted aimed at this sector of the population. These include the approval of a Youth Housing and Emancipation Plan in the Region of Murcia that includes aid for emancipation and rental of housing, as well as the introduction of a reduced rate for young people and students on regional public transport, as well such as the creation of a Regional Transportation Bond.

Furthermore, it advocates reinforcing the entire employment and training system, in order to provide it with greater mechanisms for hiring unemployed youth. The motion includes developing a Plan to Combat the Digital Divide, in collaboration with the town councils and departments of Education, which ensures that all students in the Region have the necessary resources to continue their training electronically in conditions of equality with the rest from students.Likewise, the aim is to facilitate access to the Internet for students who have fewer resources so that their educational training is not conditioned; and approve a drop in university fees in order to lessen the financial pressure on young people and their families, which may see their economic situation diminished by the labor scenario. The regional Plan would include aid for cultural reintegration (lowering prices for cinema, theater or creating vouchers or discounts to encourage youth participation), and reinforcing, through specific plans, situations of psychological violence and prevention of gender violence among and young women.Lastly, requests be made to make available the foster homes of the Autonomous Community for people who suffer homo, trans or biphobia in their residences or other places so that these people can be in a safe and non-hostile place.

for their sexual and / or gender orientation.
