The Local Government Board has recently approved the proposal of the Councilor for Social Welfare, Javier Baos, to grant a subsidy amounting to 3,000 euros to the Association of Parents of Psychological Disabilities of Totana (Padisito) in order to collaborate on the expenses derived of the Leisure and Leisure Time program for People with Intellectual Disabilities “Summer Camp2019”.
This association has had, for years, an important relevance in Totana for its daily and constant work with people affected by an intellectual disability, as well as with their families, providing services that are complementary to other public resources such as the Day Center itself People with Intellectual Disability dependent on the City Council.
This help is necessary to financially support this entity in order to alleviate the economic, physical and emotional overload that falls especially on the families of those affected to face the difficult and complex situations in which most of them find themselves, for the purpose to obtain a minimum quality of life and facilitate their labor insertion processes.
