The City of Totana will celebrate tomorrow, August 29, two full plenary sessions, at 7:00 p.m. and 7:10 p.m., respectively, with which the new political course officially begins at the Totanero Consistory.
In the first one, he will notice and take into account the letter of voluntary resignation to the position of the Councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Andrés García Cánovas, who presented last August 12.
During this session, the resignation of the former Socialist spokesperson will be taken into account in order to communicate the agreement to the Central Electoral Board to forward the credentials of Pedro Antonio Megal Ruiz to the City Council, following the list of the PSOE's candidacy in the last municipal elections, for the sake of taking office.
The second session, which is scheduled to be held ten minutes later, will address the proposal at the request of a quarter of members of the Corporation to determine compensation for assistance to collegiate bodies, grants to municipal groups and determination of the remuneration of councilors with full time.
The municipal groups of the PP, Vox, Platform Citizen "Now Totana" and Citizens had presented on August 8 a request addressed to the Mayor's Office urging the convening of an extraordinary plenary session to be addressed, definitively and after several unsuccessful attempts, the remuneration agreement to the members of the Municipal Corporation, both the Government and the opposition, for this term.
The petition signed by a total of ten councilors of the aforementioned municipal political groups was signed by check-in on this date, so the mayor, Juan José Cánovas, had until the beginning of next week to call this extraordinary session before the political paralysis that exists, specifically, in this matter.
