The Local Government Board has agreed to approve as a healthy urban itinerary in the municipality of Totana, one that runs through one of the main arteries of the city, as is the avenue of Lorca, according to the Councilor for Works and Infrastructure, Víctor Balsas, promoter of the proposal.
The Department of Infrastructure in coordination with the Sports, has determined to establish a healthy urban circuit, that is, as a route within the urban area for the exercise of healthy physical activity, this important road of the urban helmet totanero.
This cataloging assumes its adaptation following technical criteria of accessibility, and leading to this itinerary in a public space (Garden of the Red Cross), equipped with elements for physical activity.
The project consists of an itinerary or healthy route in the urban environment of Totana, which will run along the Avenida de Lorca, with an area of ​​1.1 kilometers.
In addition, a valued report on this healthy urban itinerary will be sent to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and in particular to the General Directorate of Sports;
seen the extract of the Order of April 6, 2017 for the execution, expansion and improvement of healthy urban itineraries in the municipalities of Murcia.
The subsidy granted by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth amounts to 7,300 euros, and the municipal project is around 10,000 euros.
Councilman of Works and Infrastructure has explained that the project not only includes signaling the itinerary within the urban case where you can do physical activity, but it will adapt it to accessibility issues.
