The Community awards for the first time good practices in Open Government, Good Government and Administrative Modernization

| The jury awards the municipalities of Murcia, Molina de Segura and San Pedro del Pinatar, the departments of Education and Health and the Superior Court of Justice of the Region, among others | The regional government publishes today in the Official Gazette of the Region the winners in the first edition of the Open Government, Good Government and Administrative Modernization Awards of the Region of Murcia, convened by the Ministry of Transparency, Participation and Public Administration.

Its owner, Beatriz Ballesteros, highlighted that "in this first edition we have had a great level of participation, with 21 high-quality applications and enormous professional competence, which shows that all the projects presented have been carried out with great effort on the part of the entities to promote innovation in areas of Open Government, Modernization or Good Practices, in all the public administrations of the Region of Murcia ". In the 'Open Government' modality, the Murcia City Council, the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility of the University of Murcia together with the Higher Court of Justice of the Region, the Murcian Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Development ( Imida), the Molina de Segura City Council and the Miguel de Cervantes IES.

On the other hand, in the 'Administrative Modernization' modality, the awards go to the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Murcian Health Service, the Tax Agency of the Region, the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council and the Ministry of Health.

Finally, the 'Good Government' modality has been for the University of Murcia. The first prize for 'Open Government' has gone to the project 'Urban DNA (activation of urban centers)', presented by the Murcia City Council.

This award recognizes a new model of intervention in neighborhoods that contains manifestations that promote an identity difference of each one of them, that favors social cohesion and that drives and promotes a new form of economic activation. In the 'Good Government' modality, the chosen project has been 'Tool for the diagnosis of CSR in town councils', presented by the CSR Chair of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Murcia.

It shows the creation of an analysis tool that allows the diagnosis of corporate social responsibility in local entities and contributes to making them more transparent in their management. Finally, in the 'Administrative Modernization' section, the award has been for the project 'Quality Program in non-university educational centers' of the Ministry of Education and Culture, which encourages continuous improvement of management by promoting, developing and monitoring of quality programs in public services, based on the search for excellence and the promotion of innovation.

For this, quality measures and tools are promoted that promote a change in the organization of the services they provide, taking into account the needs and expectations of parents of students, students and the educational community. The jury for these awards is made up of technicians and professionals from the universities of Murcia and Cartagena; from the educational and health fields; the Ministry of Transparency, Participation and Public Administration; of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia and of the Delegation of the Government in the Region of Murcia.
