The FROET passenger transport sector by road has transferred to the PSRM-PSOE the "discomfort and confusion" of businessmen and workers due to the new framework agreement for school transport drawn up by the Ministry of Education and Culture. A representation of the Socialist Party of the Region of Murcia knew first-hand yesterday the situation of "anxiety" that the sector is going through, which sees its viability in danger due to the low prices of the new agreement, more than 20% lower than those of the agreement above, despite the significant increase in costs. The bus employers explained that the sector "has made pineapple" with the workers, who see their jobs in danger due to the risk of closure of the companies, and reiterated their request that the Ministry extend the agreement in force while negotiating with the sector a new one. The PSRM-PSOE meeting was attended by the Secretary of Transport and Infrastructure, Lourdes Retuerto; the assistant secretary for Educational Policies and regional deputy, Antonio José Espín; the also regional parliamentarian, Antonia Abenza; and the councilor in the Murcia City Council, Juan Vicente Larrosa. On behalf of FROET, the president of Travelers, Juan Jesús Martínez; the secretary, Antonio Abellán; and the director of the department, Antonio Torres. The passenger transport sector will hold similar meetings in the coming days with the rest of the political parties represented in the Regional Assembly.
