| 1,700 families benefit from this measure to conclude the improvement of the state of conservation, accessibility and energy efficiency in their homes, for which that received more than 7 million in public aid | The regional government has extended until December 31 of this year the deadline to complete the rehabilitation and reconstruction works of buildings and homes located in the urban center of 14 municipalities, as published today by the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia ( BORM).
Likewise, families will be able to justify the work carried out thanks to these grants until February 28, 2021. More than 1,700 families benefit from this measure that will allow them to complete conservation works (foundations, structure, roofs, roofs and facades, among others), sustainability, accessibility and energy savings (replacement of carpentry and window closings, heating systems and refrigeration, and installation of equipment that uses renewable energy) in their homes, as well as reconstruction work. The general director of Housing, José Francisco Lajara, stressed that with this extension, "the Community gives the maximum facilities to families so that they can carry out the works", which have more than 7 million in public aid to repair their homes, in within the framework of the Urban Regeneration Area (ARRU) program of the Regional Housing Plan. José Francisco Lajara explained that "various circumstances, including the dana and the coronavirus pandemic, have altered the schedule and rhythm of the work, which has made it necessary to establish new execution deadlines and justification of the actions." The households that will benefit from the extension of this term are located in the municipalities of Abarán, Albudeite, Alcantarilla, Blanca, Cartagena, Cehegín, Ceutí, Fortuna, Lorca, Mula, Ojós, Puerto Lumbreras, Santomera and Totana.
