The Tax Agency has postponed 37 local registers in 20 municipalities in the Region until July and suspends collection in executive proceedings until the end of April.
The Community, through the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia, has postponed until July the collection in the voluntary period of up to 37 municipal taxes whose expiration was scheduled between the declaration of the state of alarm and the first week of May.
Specifically, these are the standards for motor vehicle circulation, weekly markets, water, garbage and sewage, and use of public roads.
These postponements have been carried out in those municipalities that have tax collaboration agreements with the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia for the management and collection of their taxes.
These are Abanilla, Abarán, Ãguilas, Albudeite, Aledo, Beniel, Blanca, Bullas, Calasparra, Campos del Río, Fuente Ãlamo, Jumilla, La Unión, Librilla, Los Alcázares, Moratalla, Mula, Pliego, Puerto Lumbreras and Santomera.
The Minister of the Presidency and Finance, Javier Celdrán, recalled that this initiative adds to the recent elimination of rates and postponement of regional taxes agreed by the Governing Council last Thursday.
In this sense, he pointed out that "in the face of the extraordinary situation caused by the health crisis that we are going through, we want to help families, workers, companies and municipalities, because if the Covid-19 forces us to stop the economy and we must also suspend the payment of tax citizens and help local corporations to avoid financial problems by delaying collection. "
Thus, the municipalities whose local taxes have been deferred will be able to access, from next April 6, the advance line that will be launched by the Tax Agency to alleviate the treasury tensions that these delays may cause.
Specifically, they can obtain up to 50 percent of the amount collected in the previous annuity by those same standards.
A request processed electronically by the municipalities will be sufficient for them to have access to these resources, for which an amount of 6.5 million euros of the Community's own funds is foreseen.
Town councils whose management of local taxes in executive form is carried out by the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia may also access this line of advances.
These are Alhama de Murcia, Cartagena, Cieza, Cehegín, Fortuna, La Unión, Lorca, Mazarrón, Molina de Segura, Murcia, San Pedro del Pinatar, Torre Pacheco, Totana and Yecla.
In case of having treasury tensions caused by the suspension of the executive route, these local corporations can request their advances also electronically from April 13.
For them there is a planned allocation of 3.5 million euros of the Community's own funds.
Elimination of fees and deferral of regional taxes
The regional government approved last Thursday a Decree Law on measures regarding taxes managed by the Autonomous Community, both its own and transferred, which contemplated the elimination of regional administration fees for three months and three-month deferrals at the expiration of the period Voluntary payment of inheritance and donation taxes, property transfers and documented legal acts, environmental taxes and gambling taxes.
The head of the Presidency and the Treasury highlighted the set of extraordinary measures put in place by the regional government in recent days and stressed that "our commitment is to do everything in our power in tax and fiscal matters to make families, self-employed workers less harmful and companies this dramatic moment that we are experiencing. "
