The service of "Volunteering and International Relations", which provides the city of Totana from the Department of Citizen Participation, and whose cornerstone promotion and recognition of voluntary action, has asked the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration a grant of close to 20,000 euros for the purchase of equipment and maintenance and activities.
Adquisisicón amount for equipment for the Volunteer Center reached the figure of 10,486 euros, of which it has applied for grant of 7,864 euros, the rest of the amount of self-financing.
On the other hand, the amount for the maintenance and dissemination activities, information, and awareness of the "Volunteers for Totana" comes to the amount of 15,420 euros.
A total of 11,565 euros has been the amount requested from the Department the remainder of the amount of own contribution.
Through these grants, the service of "Volunteering and International Relations" aims to improve the quality of services and resources provided from the Department of Citizen Participation at local volunteer organizations and the volunteers themselves as well as enable the use of material resources those entities that do not have their own resources or with sufficient technical resources or training to get them.
It also seeks to establish measures for the promotion, recognition and social value of voluntary action, directed at organizations and agencies that host their own volunteers and volunteers, and encourage the active participation of volunteers in carrying out social activities, cultural, etc.
