The Department of Works and Infrastructures closed today the public, temporarily, the children's play area of ​​the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz" in order to proceed with the dismantling of infrastructure and the imminent start of improvement works of this enclosure.
The works themselves will start next Monday, October 16 but this week the municipal operators will dedicate to dismantling and conditioning the entire enclosure for the execution of the planned actions that will duly improve this space, according to the mayor Víctor Balsas.
In this way, only the toilets area, which is also contemplated in the improvement project, will open on Wednesday mornings coinciding with the celebration of the weekly market so that users can make use of these located in the interior of the park.
The rehabilitation works of the children's playground in the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz" will begin after the award was awarded to the company "Wondergrass, SL", for the price of 81,070 euros, recalls the councilman of the branch.
This action in the existing playground in the "Marcos Ortiz" municipal park is quite deteriorated, necessitating its rehabilitation that would benefit the users of this locality.
The works financed by the Regional Action Plan for the Dynamization of Works and Municipal Services 2016 (PARDOS) of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
Among these are the rehabilitation of the children's playground in the municipal park, which means that the Autonomous Community finances 74,500 euros of the total work, says Balsas.
