Totana will host next January 29 the official matches of regional teams of Murcia and Aragon, corresponding to the Spanish Rugby Championship B in children and cadet categories, which will be held in the municipal polideportivo "December 6" of this town.
The Councilor for Sports, Isabel María Molino, accompanied by the president of the Murcia Federation of Rugby, Victor Serrano, the sports director of the same federation, Pedro López, and the president of the Rugby Club Totana, Salvador Carrasco, presented this competition Which is celebrated for the first time in this autonomous community.
The games will also have the participation of six players of the teams of the Rugby Club of Totana: two of them in the selection murcia cadet and four in the infantile one.
The matches between the selections of Murcia and Aragon sub'18 (10:30 hours) and sub'16 (12:00 hours) is part of the qualifying phase of this Championship of Spain, which is facing regional combinations in different qualifiers of The groups A and B, in which the different regional selections are distributed.
The regional federation leaders congratulated the Rugby Club and the City of Totana for their work to promote the quarry in this sport modality in recent years and said that this municipality is "a regional reference" in working with the bases.
For this reason, they explained that Totana "deserves" hosting an official match of national teams and invited fans of this sport to meet at this sporting event on the last Sunday of this month of January.
