Last Friday, March 11, the Association of Parents of Persons with Intellectual Disability Totana, PADISITO, held its Ordinary General Assembly, which among other things was the change of President and input new members on the Board of that association.
The outgoing President, Mr. Javier Baņos Tudela, has held the presidency of this association for nine years, from 2007 to this present year 2016.
They have really been complicated and difficult years, in particular also for associations, the lack of grants for projects and partnership initiatives, but where this partnership thanks to the work that has so far been its President Javier Baņos along with all the equipment the Board and all partners in general, has managed to maintain the level of activities and services for the group of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in our town.
The President himself, Javier Baņos during the Assembly commented: "I made the decision to leave the presidency of this association for professional and moral responsibility, partly determined by my new role as a councilor for Social Welfare in our town."
He also toured his years in office, and highlighted the "thank all the people who have supported me over the years, both members and board, as well as companies and collaborators who have contributed to maintain the level of activities and services offered by the association. "
Finally he stressed his availability to continue supporting and fighting to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Also during the Assembly unanimously approved the entrance of which is already new President of PADISITO, Antonia Canovas Caro, who in recent years has been part of the Board with the position of Treasurer, and commented: "quedo the availability of partners and family, and with the hope to continue to serve and work for the goals of our association. "
Similarly, the entry of a new member of the Board, Ismael Baņos, passing the post of Treasurer of this association was also approved unanimously.
