Totana's Civil Protection informs neighbours that the barbecues in the different beauty spots and recreational areas distributed through the regional park of Sierra Espuña will be available to use throughout April in accordance with the measures which form part of the Infomur Plan.

Barbecues will be permitted in the zones prepared throughout the year in La Santa, Balsa Chica, Balsa Grande, Las Alquerías and in the existing barbecues in the borders of the municipal terminal of Alhama, with the collaboration of users and visitors to the Sierra.

The main objective of the Civil Protection Plan of Forest Fire Emergencies in the Region of Murcia (INFOMUR Plan) is to establish the hierarchical organisation and function with the aim of protecting people, possessions and the environment.

The field of application of the present Plan is spread throughout the territory of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and as a consequence remains integrated into the Municipal Forest Fire Emergency Plans.

The Autonomous Community of Murcia, carrying out the functions which were transferred in terms of conservation of nature, edited in 1985 in the Infomur Plan which establishes the minimum requirements on the fundamentals, structure, organisation, operating criteria, intervention measures and instruments of coordination which should fulfil the respective Autonomous Communities Plans in terms of Risks of Forest Fires.
