Ten immigrants recently received from the Director General of Immigration, Leopoldo Navarro, Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, diplomas accrediting the course of self led to the immigrant population in order to launch entrepreneurial ventures.

This program, conducted in the locality, under the close collaboration between the departments of Social Welfare and Development and Employment, has been developed by the Foundation "Create Business" in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration Autonomous Community of Murcia and the Ministry of Labour and Immigration, taught in the offices of the Department of Citizen Participation.
This training has been developed over the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 has aimed to provide a highly practical and interdisciplinary skills to immigrants entrepreneurs on the various functional areas of the company as well as the methodology for the preparation of a draft business creation.
The program director explained that during this period formed 60 people, 36 men and 24 women, 42 of them in Ecuador, 17 in Bolivia and one from Cuba.
These participants have been 53 papers, 51 of them new business creation and consolidation of two companies, of which 38 have been designed to develop in the town, 5 to 10 in Bolivia and Ecuador.
During this initiative, which has also had tutoring, a schedule tailored to the needs of beneficiaries, practical training, developing a business plan and individual monitoring of companies created, have made a total of 16 projects.
Totana Mayor praised the work of the Foundation in collaboration with the City, and that this would have given the right tools for future immigrant entrepreneurs to put in value the business strategies that have matured through this great project.
