Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Sánchez, attended the activities organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture to celebrate World Book Day, aimed at children with the aim of encouraging reading and taking place during the afternoon of Saturday in the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja.
Through this initiative, which has been funded by the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia and was assisted by the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle", has also claimed that the children have a fun evening and encouraged through reading and Storytelling workshops on equal opportunities, focusing on values of respect, equality, non discrimination and rejection of violence, according to the council in the industry, Josefa María Sánchez.
Likewise, we developed the activity "The flip book" to educate in equal rights and opportunities for boys and girls.
The activity began with the staging of a storyteller, "Grandpa with an old concept, which was attended by Antonio Pelegrin.
Then, we proceeded to the reading of stories by reading the points related to coeducation and equal opportunities, where each of the participants could develop a bookmark with different materials and each one was customized.
Finally we proceeded to the reading of "The animated tale" that was the interpretation of a story where each child is actively involved in representation.
