The association of regional character, who was born in Totana and integrating members of different nationalities, aims to meet the needs and improve the social integration of immigrants in the municipality
The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, have been members of the Association of Integration and Service to the Immigrant Community of Murcia "who have sent ADIPSAI policy makers through a study which has identified problems of social integration among the immigrant community.
The regional association, which is based in Totana, is composed of citizens from different countries to establish cooperative links with the Spanish.
The president of ADIPSAI, Delmira Jiménez said that because of the difficulties faced by the group from the association saw the need for a comprehensive study to the community that resides in Totana.
So that for 14 months undertook an analysis of the real situation through immigration conducting interviews and surveys of immigrants.
Through this study revealed a series of problems of social integration that have been established as the basis of the project that will spearhead the partnership and to be based on three strands: citizenship, equality and multiculturalism.
With the implementation of this project, explained the President, will ensure the full exercise of the rights of immigrants, promote respect for the values, obligations and standards of living, among other actions.
As far as the association is committed to intercultural social figure of the mediator through which seeks to mediate and community-oriented institution, among other objectives.
Also, members of the association affected the need to achieve a particular business mediation for sensitization to be able to mediate between employers and immigrants to hire labor.
