The new council and Employment Development, José Antonio Valverde Queen, recently visited the Escuela Taller Casa de Las Monjas I, in which rehabilitation are working a total of 32 students.
In the first conducted following the recent reorganization of the political and administrative structure of City Hall, the council has met the students and the management team and teacher, who, along with municipal officers in charge of coordination, site management and implementation of project, we have reported the most relevant characteristics of the rehabilitation project.
During the meeting, the mayor visited the various units of property in order to observe in situ the progress of work.
Once completed the demolition and subsequent consolidation of foundations and slabs, the mayor was able to see the evolution of re-roof work being developed on the cover of one of the two ships that make up the building, having previously reinforced structure timber that supports it has completed the closing and insulating materials.
Also, Queen Valverde also found the beginning of the work of interior partition layout on the first floor of the building and the next start of work on the cover of the second ship.
School Workshop is a training and employment initiative promoted by the city of Totana and financed by the Regional Employment Service and Training and the European Social Fund, in which 32 students, workers, since its inception last December 23, 2009 until its completion on 22 December this year, receive training and acquire professional experience in the occupations of masonry, carpentry and electricity.
