The departments of Commerce and Social Welfare support the campaign "Food Collection" carried out by Caritas Interparroquial associations, parishes of the "Three Hail Marys" and "Santiago", through which it is intended that Totana needy families with food in these special days.
The mayor of Social Welfare, Juan Carrión, explained that many people do not have the resources to support their families, and this situation has been worsened by the current economic crisis the country is experiencing.
For this reason, as reported Carrión, this campaign to collect food is very important in these times, it has publicly called the neighbors of Totana to participate to help those most in need.
For its part, the mayor of Commerce, María Isabel Sánchez Ruíz, explained that food establishments have been placed some boxes for those who want to participate to deposit your donation there and not have to come to Caritas to stop eating.
The council has indicated that with only a small contribution, these families are helped a lot.
For its part, the representative of Caritas associations, Rodolfo Garcia, thanked the support by the municipality, as the Consistory get all the necessary resources to carry out such activities.
