The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Council Member of Health, Trini Cayuela, announced after a meeting today with the Minister of Health, María Ãngeles Palacios, the imminent start of work on the second Health Center South Totana " whose final contract will be signed this coming Wednesday with the successful bidder "Constructions Villegas, SL."
Construction will begin in December on a parcel that the City gave to the Department on a site in the "La Scale, and have a final budget of EUR 2,026,534.50 to be financed in full by the Community autonomous, and have a lead time of fourteen months.
This announcement was made to coincide with the meeting that the municipal authorities had with the minister to present the Second National Meeting of Rare Diseases to be held in Totana this weekend, and also attended by the Directors-General of Planning and Health and Citizen, respectively.
The Local Government Committee last week awarded a definitive construction of the new Health Centre-South Totana Olympic district, which also is building a municipal social center and is expected to be built up promotion of social housing .
Martínez Andreo said the work would begin as soon as you name the show's director and coordinator of health and safety of the project and stressed that this new infrastructure enables the splitting of the health zone in Totana, which will result in greater specialization, as well as coverage and quality of care in this county.
The mayor expressed his satisfaction at the start of these works saying that "it was worth the wait after all administrative procedures" and congratulated the makers and technicians of the Councillors for Health and Sustainable Development Planning and the work done since the early of this term.
He also indicated that the minister made early in the new year an official visit to the works, as the most important thing now is to begin the proceedings.
