The Sanctuary of "Santa" is hosting this weekend the first of two concerts that will take place in the town

The councilman of Culture, Ana Belén García, and Juan Antonio Yanez de Lara, representing the Board of La Santa, presented the "V Edition of Historic Organs of Murcia, a cycle that will take place during the months of February and March, and that includes two performances at the Shrine of the Holy, the first will take place on Sunday 1 February at 12:45 hours after the end of the mass.

The organization of this concert series is made possible "thanks to the detailed program of restoration of historic organs carried out by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports", as explained by the mayor.

Through this program, you can retrieve these eighteenth-century instruments for making these available to the public.

The national totanero Sanctuary is one of the unique baroque instruments in the Region of Murcia, belonging to the second half of the eighteenth century with a classic organ sound aesthetic that is located in the choir in a small gallery at the end of existing the central nave of the chapel.

For his part, Juan Antonio Yanez has indicated that the first concert held in La Santa, which will take place on Sunday, comes on the heels of the boat concert Miguel Diaz, a distinguished professor of organ at the Conservatory of Music in Palencia has traveled throughout the country giving concerts.

Also, Yanez reported that the concert series will close in Totana starring Alfonso Saez to be held on March 8 at 12:45 am in the Sanctuary.

The bodies of the eighteenth century, that will sound in this cycle, in addition to La Santa, come from the Ermita de la Virgen de la Huerta de Los Ramos, of Santa Iglesia Catedral de Murcia, of the Church of San Onofre to Alguazas, Church of Charity.
