The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion Tudela, has visited the users and Occupational Center "José Moya" to congratulate them Christmas and hand them a box of handmade cakes, Christmas, produced by the Association of Artisans and Pastry Totana.
Carrion Tudela wished all those present to pass a happy holiday in the company of loved ones and recognized "the important work and education center for persons with disabilities in the municipality" and took his commitment and desire to continue supporting and collaborating with the center.
The Center now has the assistance of 33 people, over all these years of experience have strengthened the program of physical activity and sports programs, classroom, pottery and carpentry workshop, and coppice with activities in music, theater and body language and visual arts.
Carrion pointed out that the center already has a long history and continuing experience of seven years dedicated to the stimulation and therapy work with people with learning disabilities who have sought treatment at this center aims, based on the respectful treatment of people with disabilities, the stimulation of personal autonomy and social integration of people with disabilities, in each case on its possibilities.
This is a reference center and one of the most comprehensive in the region in terms of services and benefits and is offering a high quality level and expressed the intention of the City Council to "continue working with the entire professional team listening to all needs that we move the users and try to improve all the resources available for people with disabilities. "
Occupational Center is open from people with low level of autonomy for specific programs of rehabilitative activities, to people with high level of autonomy that are more advanced stimulation in different areas: social skills, instrumental skills, physical activity, occupational workshops, initiation to computing.
