The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has this morning signed an agreement with the Ministry of Public Works and Planning and the Ministry of Housing agreement for the financing of rehabilitation works of buildings and housing rehabilitation area Integral del Barrio de San Roque, whose work amounts to a total of 1,052,169 euros.
As he explained the mayor, will proceed to the recovery of facades and roofs of 40 homes to provide a new look to the neighborhood, looking, especially the standardization of materials, colors and shapes of traditional architecture.
To do so, within a period of three years, the Ministry of Public Works will provide 233,822 euros, the ministry will invest 191,733 euros, 25,143 euros Consistory and the rest will be contributed by each of the owners of the buildings.
The Consistory, as noted by the mayor, wants to improve the overall condition of the buildings in some ways the municipality, particularly those located in historic areas of town, carrying out works to eliminate architectural barriers and facades reforms , decks and structures, and adequacy of housing.
The neighborhood of San Roque is an established urban area where some 200 homes posted about a stable population, the majority owner of the property, which could be subject to rehabilitation, mainly repair of facades, roofs and medians, with order to improve the urban image of the neighborhood.
