The town of Totana will join the activities of the "Area 36" with workshops and music exhibitions to be held in the "Village Associations 2009", to be held in May next year and with the participation of young people from other municipalities in the "Young Crearte 2009."
The councilman of Youth, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, presented, along with other councilors involved in the project "Area 36" and the director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, at the Museum Murcia archaeological program for the 2008-2009 season.
"Area 36" aims to bring recreational activities for young people aged 16 to 30 years in a particular area, the towns of Totana, Alhama, Puerto Lumbreras, Eagles, Aledo, Mazarrón and Lorca.
This project seeks to create new lines of work in the technical network of municipalities, that enhances the partnership and the collective work of youth.
The mayor of Youth indicated that young people in the municipalities of "Area 36" will be invited to participate in the music contest "Crearte Youth 2009" which will consist of live performance of bands previously selected for the celebration the concert event.
In this regard, said the head of the municipal area may participate in the call for young people aged between 15 and 30 years and to demonstrate that living in the municipalities that comprise the "Area 36".
Moreover, according to Mendez Sanchez said, will be held exhibitions and music workshops in the "Village Associations 2009."
The place is put a speaker at the "Area 36" which will promote activities that take place in municipalities.
During the presentation the council's Youth Town Hall welcomed the collaboration that the Institute for Youth carried out with this project with a grant from the same and also recognized the "extraordinary work that the Youth Council of Lorca done with this initiative."
