Training Program for Integration and Intercultural Coexistence, driven by the Department of Immigration of the Department of Social Welfare provides training services and Translation and Interpretation, among others.
Service Training includes among its objectives, increase knowledge, skills, abilities and skills of people of immigrant origin that are difficult to function properly and integrated into the local host.
Another aim is to foster integration attitudes, mutual acceptance, belonging and appropriate coexistence among all citizens of the municipality.
Among the planned activities include classes s backing of the Spanish language and other basic skills such as accounting and computing, a workshop of basic social skills for employment and social participation and course of health education, hygiene, health care .
Also included are workshops on home improvement and home, to the knowledge of the environment, resources, institutions, customs, duties and rights, intercultural cooking, sewing.
This service includes the completion of the project "Know Totana" support to newly arrived immigrants, guided visits to places of interest, and actions to the knowledge of local cultural diversity, meetings, lectures and workshops, among others.
The hours of service is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 to 14.00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday, from 16.00 to 21:00.
For its part, the Translation and Interpretation has the objective to improve communication, facilitate integration and foster a climate of understanding between different cultures.
The schedule of this service will be Tuesday, from 17.00 to 19.00, and Wednesday from 12:00 to 14.00.
