In kindergarten there is a 1.66% of school absenteeism in primary 3.56% and 6.16% compulsory secondary one, with the overall rate of truancy in the town of Totana 3.73%.

In terms of ethnicity of the students referred to the Municipal Service Absenteeism, the mayor noted that the total of 168 cases referred, 77 (41.66%) cases were indigenous, natives of the municipality of Totana, 52 Roma (30, 95%), 33 of South American nationality (19.25%) and the rest of the students belong to nationalities Moroccan, Portuguese, Pakistani, English and French.
