Culture lists thousands of documents in the Provincial Court and former justices of Murcia and Totana

Researchers can access files of historical significance as before the Civil War, among many others

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through the General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries, available to researchers thousands of important historical documents that the Territorial Management Ministry of Justice in the Region of Murcia has given the Archives General.

The documentation comes from the Provincial Court, of the former courts of First Instance and Instruction of Murcia and Totana, and other judicial bodies such as the Juvenile Court and the Administrative Tribunal.

This documentation contained in about 200,200 boxes, corresponding to the years between 1882 and 1958, and the oldest dates back to the start of the hearings of the criminal to be instituted in Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca, which were unprecedented in the Provincial Court .

The documents transferred to the General Archive of the Region of Murcia are a true testimony of a reality which is reflected in social unrest of the past.

A considerable portion of these documents are processed prior to the Civil War, which is of great historical interest.
