Totana City Council has awarded the contract for the implementation of preparation for the pilgrimage and trekking tour of the town to the place of the Holy to the commercial buildings Peñalver Ruiz SL, amounting to 36,000 euros, under a grant from the Ministry Tourism and Consumer Affairs of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
Through this grant amounting to 30,000 euros, including the Tourist Routes Plan to the Local Authority, the Town Hall will assume the remaining balance thereof amounting to 6,000 euros.
The project, approved by the Local Government Committee at its last meeting held recently, provides for the completion of two picnic areas, including paving of the base and placing wooden logs for the delimitation of the road.
In this way, explained Councillor for Planning and Sustainable Development, María José Bedia, it will provide better tourist infrastructure for the development of the network of routes and ecotours of the municipality, since in his opinion "the path to Totana Santa is one of the most visited tourist-bonding as leisure and religious covering. "
