The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, were present at the opening of the exhibition of works by the Socio-Cultural Association of Women totanera, the Municipal Exhibition Hall "Gregorio Cebrián.
This activity is part of the program developed by the various women's associations in the municipality in collaboration with the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, which develop throughout the year.
The exhibition, which includes painting, sewing, embroidery and handicrafts of the various workshops held throughout the year through the Association of Women totanera Sociocultural may be accessed over the next ten days.
Through this exhibition, the students have tried to reflect the joy of effort involved in making all this work done by these women in Totana.
The Councillor for Women's Rights and Equal Opportunity praised the active participation of all women of this association in social and cultural life of the municipality through activities and training activities that develop throughout the year and congratulated them and encouraging them to continue working on the same line.
For his part, Mayor of Totana made a commitment to continue working and supporting this association, which plays an important role in the town of Totana, and highlighted "the role and figure of the woman totanera", which plays an important role in the development and promotion of local culture.
He highlighted the work of the newly elected president of the association, Concepcion del Moral, both the association and the Center for Occupational and congratulated him encouraging him to turn it to continue working with the same enthusiasm.
