The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by Council for Development Cooperation, Juan Carrion Tudela and Culture, Ana Belén García, inaugurated the exhibition "Painters Solidarity with Paraguay, which will be open from June 21 in the Exhibition Hall "Gregorio Cebrián, and aims to raise funds that will go to a construction of two educational complexes in Paraguay.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of UNESCO and the Union of Cooperatives in the Region of Murcia: UCOMUR, UCOERM, who thanked the City Council of Totana, through its area of development cooperation, demonstration and public awareness social recognition of the various actions and international cooperation projects and private organizations carry out.

The traveling exhibition, organized jointly by the City Council of Totana, the UNESCO Centre of the Region of Murcia and the Union of Cooperatives in the Region of Murcia: UCOMUR, UCOERM and the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, also has donating their works of about 40 artists, four of which are native to Paraguay.

The aim of this exhibition is to raise funds through the sale of these paintings, to be allocated to a project of construction of two schools, in Native communities and Sana-Pana Ayoreros in the Paraguayan Chaco region.

Of the funds raised through the sale of tables 50% will go directly to fund the construction of schools, and the remaining 50% will cover the costs of collaborating artists.

The municipal official of the Department of Development Cooperation stressed the close collaboration by the City Council of Totana this project to build schools, to finance the full costs for the construction of a pavilion-classroom block, which will be called the City of Totana "

In this way, the Mayor of Totana, expressed his satisfaction at being able to have this "magnificent" exhibition in the town and noted that the City Council of Totana, assisted in the development of this exhibition and the center construction project education, "intend to support and encourage various organizations to continue to work tirelessly to make every day to benefit the poorest populations, enabling an efficient and quality development in those countries to which their actions are directed."

The exhibition will be available to anyone who wants to visit in the Exhibition Hall "Gregorio Cebrián, Monday through Saturday from 18:00 hours to 21:00 hours and on Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00 and 18: 00 to 21:00.
