The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion Tudela, closed the second training activity "Job Search Techniques", part of the project "WORK: A step towards the employability", which has had a total of 65 hours duration and has with the participation of 16 people unemployed, residents of several neighborhoods in Totana.
This training has been organized by the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" in collaboration with the Instituto Murciano Social Action and Social Welfare Department of the City of Totana, funded by European Social Funds.
Through this project is intended to inform, educate and guide the unemployed people on issues related to the workplace, and that as reported from "The Candle" was an initiative of socio-professional nature, by which we tried facilitate the employment of those persons in the town of Totana who were interested in participating actively in the change in their situation of unemployment. "
This resource, designed as a step towards the employability of participants, based on both personal guidance, conducting individualized itineraries of insertion, and specific training workshops that address the characteristics and needs of users, enabling with the aim of placing them in a better position in the labor market and thus achieving both access to employment and maintenance.
This workshop was conducted from April 28 through May 21 from 9.30 am to 13.30 pm in the multipurpose room of the new units of the Department of Citizen Participation.
The Collective "The Candle" has developed within the project "Labor", complementing other activities such as training workshops Career Guidance; individual sessions; Guidance Social Work Survey, and Search for possible job vacancies.
