The halls of the Gran Casino de Totana welcomed last Friday night's official debut of the new group "Cultural Totana" which promotes the Department of Culture of the City of Totana, with holding an exhibition showing various by different members of the collective, and a poetic and musical recital.
Group members held to coincide with the coming-out of this cultural group, various cultural activities, among which highlighted a poetry recital by the group that coordinates totanera Katy Parra, and which was the musical accompaniment of Juan Francisco Esparza Canovas.
Later, he performed several musical pieces;
and in parallel, attendees could enjoy a small sample-exposure of several works by different members of "Cultural Totana" about painting, drawing, crafts, among others.
The event was attended by the mayor, Juan José Canovas, and the councilman of Culture, Eulalia Moreno, among other authorities, who recalled that the initiative is open to all of society, with the aim to revitalize and stimulate different areas of activity cultural policy of the municipality, by involving its protagonists.
The Department of Culture has put this new initiative in the cultural field, called "Cultural Totana", a project through which citizens and sensitive concerns in the field of culture can participate and be involved in the development and programming up sociocultural activities.
Participants can bring, suggest, collaborate and organize activities coordinated across different work groups with various themes in the interests of the participants.
As an instrument of coordination and collaboration, they have promoted the establishment of a working group through which cultural activities will be programmed diverse.
These groups are open and can participate in all those with concerns in the field of culture.
Currently already have formed the following groups: "Fine Arts", "Cine-Teatro", "Music", "Literature", "History-Heritage" and "Traditions and Debate";
which currently has the collaboration of about twenty people.
