The Full Council of Totana yield a simple and solemn institutional recognition of gratitude to the figure of the neighbor recently deceased, Juan Antonio Yanez de Lara, by reading a brief summary of their exceptional legacy of love and service to Totana before the ordinary session of September (Tuesday, 29, at 20:00).
The City Council wants to invite family, friends and neighbors of Totana in general who want to partake of this simple initiative, which will read the mayor, Juan José Canovas, on behalf of all the municipal corporation, and in a minute saved of silence.
The event, sponsored by the Mayor and with the connivance of the four municipal groups, aiming to become only fond memories of appreciation and gratitude for one of our neighbors who has known throughout his life offer the best in favor of all that is and is our city.
The Municipal Corporation wishes to acknowledge the work and involvement of Lara Yanez enhance, preserve, purify and revive Totana unique traditions, such as Easter and admirable devotion to Santa Eulalia of Mérida, our patron, cornerstones of character and feel of this city.
Lara Yáńez made a meritorious work in the Sanctuary of La Santa, attending carefully to all who approached that majestic place, just as his love for everything related to the testimony of the Martyr emeritense that led him to write a documented and rigorous study, entitled "On the trail of Santa Eulalia", a historical and devotional concerning special significance.
Juan Antonio Yanez Lara died on August 23 after a long illness, which generated numerous public displays of sympathy by government representatives, associations and neighborhood groups, institutions and local brotherhoods Holy Week
