Totana City Council has asked the Society for Integrated Rural Development Integrated inclusion of the municipality, in all the borders, as a territory beneficiary of the EAFRD with the possibility of extending the territorial surface area as Leader for the period 2014/2020.
Integral is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to help create conditions for improving the economy and quality of life in rural areas where the inhabitants are the protagonists conditions.
The Plenary already adopted at its regular session in July this petition and that are included within the territory of Integral as a candidate for the selection of local action groups coming to the municipality of Totana in full.
It has also requested the inclusion, and note this municipality as a whole in the territory of Integral and strategic plan that this partnership must prepare for the next period 2014-2020.
Totana is a member and partner of Integral-Society Association for Rural Development from 1995 period Leader II;
from which were managed Community Initiatives Leader II, Leader + and currently EAFRD from 1995.
Now the municipality of Totana has been included in the programs of Integrated Regional Development, and has been understood and affected by the delimitation of the Natural Park of Sierra Espuña.
This municipal request is made after considering the regional development program prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, for the period 2014/2020 EU has to Totana included in its entire municipal area, as susceptible of being a beneficiary area the EAFRD (Leader methodology), with the possibility of extending the area of ​​the municipality of Totana Leader area for 2014-2020.
