About thirty volunteers, mostly students of the Degree of History, have participated in the II Golf archaeological work at the site of "The Cabezuelas" Totana which ended this weekend with great success by the large number of findings and information scientific assembled, according to municipal sources reported in a statement.

The mayor, Juan José Canovas, and the councilman of archaeological sites, Immaculate Blazquez, along with the mayors Ana Maria Canovas and Javier Baños, proceeded yesterday to the closing of the field, in a ceremony held at the municipal hall full and in which delivery of all diplomas became participants in it.

The Association for Cultural and Tourism Promotion Totana "Kalathos" organized for the second consecutive year and in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Citizen Participation, the second edition which began last July 27.

This project is being developed under a collaboration agreement between the City of Totana and "Kalathos" Association of the need to enable the development of leisure activities to university and archeology enthusiasts during the summer.

In the same combines, simultaneously, an educational and training process with the participation of volunteers in a scientific research project of cultural interest for the town of Totana.

This activity is included in the municipal program "Totana Summer 2015" has allowed an approach to the methodology of archaeological research and the performance of the excavation itself, inventory, topography, field drawing, registration cards of structures and archaeological photography ceramic studies, among many other tasks.

The field work has also been made possible by the collaboration of the Heritage Service of the Region of Murcia and sponsoring companies Murcia.com and other Totana.
