A total of 11 children, aged between 7 and 13 years, participated last week in the activity "Week of Prehistory in La Bastida", an activity organized by the Friends of the Archaeological Site Bastida (ASBA) and has the support of the Society of Studies and Ethnographic Historiológicos Highlands.
Moreover, this activity has the support of the Youth Council and has been held at the site of La Bastida argárico own.
Participants made a number of heritage education workshops that have been developed during the days when the weekly initiative as milling, drilling shells, rope, weaving, prehistoric ornaments, information on prehistoric lithic materials and resources took place.
They have also learned to make hand fire, archery wood, visits to the site knowing firsthand what was found by archaeologists, pottery by hand, recognition of indigenous plants and their use, knowledge of the funeral world, among others.
This is the first year I was offered this activity and with it has been claimed that, through these workshops the participating children, have the opportunity to move to a certain time in order to know the history of their locality and the prehistoric town of La Bastida, called "The Western Troy".
The participating children have been performed experimental and other fun activities, crafts, and ancient arts and crafts adapted to their age.
