The Directorate General of Roads of the Ministry of Public Works has authorized for the future deployment of the RM-609 road (road Mazarrón) from the A7 motorway to the village, without involving an impact to the owners of the area.
This was recently announced the general director of Roads in functions, José A. Guilarro, the City of Totana referring to a petition requested report on how this might affect performance in the new Municipal General Management Plan of Totana.
In the same communication it is considered that the split should end before reaching the town of Totana ending in a knot dealer traffic (roundabout) such as that provided for in the draft Adif.
The report informs that there is no objection to the planning provides for the splitting of non-symmetric about the axis of the road Mazarrón with the aim of reducing the compensation and the impact on residents or owners.
The Highways Agency notes that even the layout can vary as needed between the roundabouts that are expected, they can serve to break the layout as required in each section.
It is therefore important that in the future, when this work of splitting (which is not even envisaged now) run properly roundabouts are located along the highway for easy direction changes and global mobility in the area.
The Directorate-General notes with regard to programming of works, that works for the future deployment of the RM-609 are not scheduled in the short to medium term by the Ministry of Development.
It is also proposed that previous studies to fit the solution of the splitting of the RM-609 can be made by the editor of the new General Plan team, since it's municipal jurisdiction spatial planning within this municipality.
Thus, the residents of the road Mazarrón calms, between the town and the link with the motorway, they were concerned about the future of their properties as a result of the adaptation of the final lineups for this work, so that existing buildings will be respected.
Instead of two lanes in each direction of the road, it will pass to three lanes, widening to three lanes also known bridge of the railway station;
