City officials, including the mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, was yesterday's goodbye totanera delegation that integrates XLVII diocesan pilgrimage to be held between 19 and June 24 at the Marian shrines of Lourdes.
The event took place at the Teatro del Centro Sociocultural "Jail" coinciding with the delivery of tickets and the meeting that the delegation of Lourdes Hospitality held to finalize the details of the trip.
Totanera delegation consists of 70 people, including volunteers and sick pilgrims who travel by bus, cars and aircraft Friday;
some of which they do subsidized by this organization in this location.
Some 1,300 people will take part in the pilgrimage, of which 190 are sick, 700 volunteers (of which 60 are children and 150 young), health equipment (24 doctors and 14 nurses), 21 priests and more than 300 pilgrims.
The pilgrimage will be presided by Bishop José Manuel Lorca Planes;
and is scheduled to Murcia from tomorrow, Friday 15 buses departing from the 30 delegations and Saturday two aircraft from the airport of San Javier.
