Conducted a circular route around the Morrón de Espuña, which included the planting of native trees

On Sunday February 22 walkers club Totana made a circular route around the Morrón de Espuña, aiming, apart from playing the sport of walking, of celebrating Arbor Day by planting native trees, as they are mostly oaks and some other montpellier maple, emblematic species of the Mediterranean forest, which in times past inhabited our sierra Espuña and currently only small patches, reflecting past.

The route started with 32 walkers, from a little above the Collado Bermejo, who after to go down the forest path Pinillo one km, walked up the path of the pipes to the hill of Eleuterio.

From this hill, down the hill to the Peseta, which took us half of our journey, in wells snow Cartagena, this was the place chosen to regain strength and begin our symbolic forest disapproval.

Highlight the fact that although the day did not accompany much for the strong and cold wind that blow throughout the morning, later several people joined to participate with the nice gesture of planting a tree, so that in the end, we were more 45 people, including children and adults, we got to plant 140 oaks and maples montpellier 10.

After the rewarding action have contributed to this small gesture to our environment, we continue our journey on the path that leads to the beginning of the chute Gallego to get out on the road and walk the last mile that led us to our place of start.

Finally we would like to thank from the hiker club, all participants as well as DG Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Region of Murcia for their close collaboration, as we fitted out the area of ​​recruitment and donating of trees through the Valley Nursery.
