Totana City Council has awarded the management of public service specialized Elder in Residence "La Purisima" with 90 seats, the trade Clece SA for a period of one year, as it marks the current law.
The Councillor for Social Care, Josefa Maria Sanchez Mendez, explained that after having official knowledge of the previous concessionaire did not want to continue the service, the bidding process was initiated finally being the winning company.

The mayor wanted to clarify that the abandonment of service from the previous company is not the result of non-payment by the council, but that the municipality could not cope with the demands that the company sought to keep the service.
The new contractor, according to the mayor stressed, began work on 1 December and since then it has ensured that the transition process was done in the maximum guarantees, technical assistance also from the town hall to prevent this service it would look diminished by this.
Thus, the company is subrogated to all staff working in the residence, except for three people: the chiropodist, hairdresser and doctor.
According to Sanchez Mendez, the company has offered the opportunity to continue working with the same people, but as they have not reached economic agreements in principle have not continued medical care and has now been restored.
