The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, reported publicly that the new Center-South Health Totana come into operation gradually beginning Monday, November 17, as has already informed the Ministry of Health and Social Policy totanero Consistory.
The new infrastructure, built by the Ministry of Health in the urbanization "The Scale", will provide primary care health care service in the mornings and will open officially in December.

The splitting of the health zone Totana occur following the criteria established by the Department so that users remain in the Health Center where they are for their current physicians.
In this way, then it is possible that if the user wants to change doctors because they prefer one another health center can do for convenience or proximity to either health center.
The new health center "Totana-South" will feature 17 general practices, five consultations of Pediatrics, two dental offices, multipurpose room, queries extractions, cures, less medicine, a query to care for women plus maintenance departments, staff, administration, among other agencies.
In total, more than 40 health professionals, including physicians, nurses, administrative assistants, and those who will attend to 15,400 users are diverted to the new health care facility, the councilor added.
The new building in the complex "The Scale" consists of two floors and a basement of over 1,000 square meters each, has an investment in its construction of 2,835,000 euros;
though all the infrastructure is not used, it will be used as care needs.
The mayor has announced that in the coming days will make public the details of its implementation, since it is provided by the Health Area III of Lorca.
