The Regional Craft Centre Lorca hosts throughout the month of September the exhibition "Egypt, Art and Culture" totanero potter, Francisco Javier Tudela.

This exhibition was inaugurated this morning by the Director General of Consumer Affairs, Commerce and Handicrafts, Ana Cobarro, and the Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez.

During his speech, the Mayor of Totana and president of the Spanish Association of Cities of Ceramics potter congratulated for pioneering the launch of new products and expansion into other countries in order to improve their marketing.

In the sample, as indicated by the councilor, allowed patent innovation in ceramics is to try to get a firm profitability in line with the product bet.

The exhibition features a total of ten different works, six of them belonging to the 'Egypt' collection Cayuela Tudela, who has played in various aspects of the history of that country, such as beads, necklace spring Sathator XII Dynasty sarcophagus Sepi Nithpaht the wake of the mirror Hennutani queen and a scene from the Book of Dead Eighteenth Dynasty.

To complement this collection, it has also introduced two jars with St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow and finally a vase and amphora with huertano landscape.

Francisco Javier Tudela Cayuela is the current holder of Alfar Tudela, a century-old company located in the town of Totana, dedicated for over seven generations to the production of entirely handmade traditional clay pieces such as jugs, jars and crocks and decorative objects, both interior and exterior, especially for gardening, typical pots and planters.
