Over 9,330 users have accessed the services of the public library during the first half of the year and have provided more than 5,000 copies of documents.
Councilman Popular Culture, Alfonso Cayuela, explained that access to the use of the public library by the citizens is one of the primary objectives of the management area.
The data, according to the mayor, show that every day there are more people accessing the services available from the library.
Thus, from January to June, the number of new registered users in the library has been 223;
of which 110 are children and 113 adults;
and of these, 42 are resident aliens.
Currently, the library offers a total of 5103 registered.
Moreover, as explained Cayuela during these months were acquired 42 monographs and 97 copies of magazines.
Similarly, thanks to the special book donation campaign has succeeded in entering the holdings a total of 303 copies of altruistic donations from citizens.
Of the 9,331 users who have used the facilities of the library during the first semester 1268 have used the internet service and 696 children who attended activities to encourage reading.
