The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, became president of the Association of Travel Services Espuña for the last nine months of term, replacing Councillor Pliego, Isabel Toledo.
The vice president of the company is the mayor of Mula, José Iborra, for this time period.
The inauguration ceremony was held yesterday at the city hall of the City of Totana during the city that held this entity.
The Commonwealth will work in the next semester in the action plan of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in advancing System Quality Tourism Destination (SISTEC), an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Tourism and implanted in 200 tourist destinations in country to implement basic quality standards.
In addition, they will develop six projects with a total budget of 319,838 euros, funded "Leader", which are the target mark to Espuña study on the situation in the region, the design and implementation of an itinerant market local and ecological study on customs Espuña and the creation of 5 itineraries accessible products in the member municipalities.
Also working on a project to improve environmental information and awareness (improved signage and smarphone application to visit the region and editing printed material).
These projects provide a response to actions included in the Action Plan of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
The Commonwealth Travel Services Espuña is composed of the municipalities of Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Pliego, Mula and Totana.
