The Mayor of Totana, María Isabel Sánchez, has raised a motion to Full Council for discussion at its meeting in June in which he intends to devote a street or public space in the town with the name of the missionary nature of the El Pareton, Paco Andreo.

The proposal was developed at the initiative of the directors in the Parish Caritas Three Hail Marys and Santiago El Mayor, Pedro and Rafael Redondo Hostench;

director of Manos Unidas in Totana, Juana Rosa Zamarreño Celi;

Parsons Santiago El Mayor and the Three Hail Marys, José Ruiz and Pedro Hernández;

Mayor-headman of the Paretón-Cantareros, Juan Jacobo Costa;

and the president of the local PP Bartolomé Penalver.

Father Francisco Andreo founded the Missionary Community of Saint Paul the Apostle and Mary, Mother of the Church, and was born in Paretón the July 6, 1941. Being very young, he emigrated with his parents to Barcelona, ​​where he found his vocation House priest in Santiago.

Paco Andreo, as he liked to be called, was ordained a priest on March 7, 1976 by Cardinal Narciso Jubany Diocese of Barcelona.

It was a somewhat atypical pastor, since from its inception as a priest he faced with courage to redress imbalances of the most disadvantaged.

To do this, always was accompanied youth from different backgrounds of society, some priests now, and following the path he started to help all kinds of people without economic resources.

His love for Africa was born in Cameroon in 1961, where he worked and forged his priestly vocation in a parish located in the confines of the forest.

His missionary work in the desarrollón Cameroon, Ethiopia, Bolivia, USA and Kenya.

The missionary died in Paco Andreo Nariokotome mission on 15 February 2013, after a grueling battle with cancer.

He was buried in the Kenyan land, as was his wish.

His life was a good influence on all who met him on every continent, and in a very special way in Africa.
