Totana City Council has developed an innovative program to intervene with the main problems of social and family integration posed by immigrants in the municipality, which has a duration of one year and in which, during the first half, it has served A total of 196 people and has worked specifically with 24 families.
This program is funded by a grant from the European Integration Fund, through the Ministry of Employment and Social Security, which was granted to the City of Totana in the call for "innovative programs for the integration of immigrants"
The initiative seeks to respond to the reality of many immigrant families whose members, especially children and women, due to the characteristics of migration, suffering situations of vulnerability and social protection.
In this sense, the program develops different social activities and educational care such as information, guidance and support for access to resources, socio-educational actions individuals and groups to improve relations, health habits, raising minor, etcetera.
Also, have created two groups under 7-15 years who are carrying out the activities to improve social skills and educational support.
From September will resume group activities for both children and adults.
