Antonio Muñoz, President of ENAC (National Accreditation) and Deputy Director General of Quality and Safety of the Ministry of Industry yesterday made a private visit to COATO.
The President of ENAC and COATO visited for the first time, in June 1998, 15 years ago, on the occasion of the Open Day that COATO held at the request of the Ministry of Industry and AEC (Spanish Association for Quality), after that the cooperative was Prince Felipe Award finalist for Quality in its fourth edition.
For 15 years, the ratio of the President of ENAC, Antonio Muñoz and COATO representatives, has been continuous, having agreed as speakers or participants in numerous events, conferences and seminars related to quality and excellence.
Antonio Muñoz and Jose Luis Hernandez have often shared different sessions, both the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association for Quality (AEC), which both are members, as other meetings, such as the Evaluation Committee and the Jury Prince Felipe for Excellence, for which the President has been appointed COATO repeatedly by the Ministry of Industry, a proposal from the AEC.
ENAC President held a meeting with executives of COATO, among whom were both President of the Designation of Origin (PDO) Paprika from Murcia, Pedro legs, which is in the process of accreditation by ENAC-as responsible for quality and environmental and other directors of COATO, in which company representatives informed him of this cooperative trajectory in recent years and its commitment, since 1995, the quality, sustainability and excellence for organic farming , that make COATO has been a pioneer in Spain, in its areas of activity, in the accreditation of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and EMAS.

Then also visited the organic shop and earth, Bioshop, located in COATO facilities, where the President of ENAC could appreciate the wide range of gourmet and organic products on offer, from commodity crop COATO of farms and the increasingly wide range of made that involve raw materials processed at the premises of the company.
To finish the day, COATO managers ENAC accompanied President to visit the Sanctuary and the Hotel de La Santa, and were able to visit and appreciate the beauty of various places of Espuña Regional Park, which has recently received accreditation from European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
