Totana City Council, through the Municipal Drug Addiction Service, has joined the campaign "The ban on advertising, promotion and sponsorship snuff" coincide with the celebration of World No Snuff, held today May 31 .
The complete prohibition of advertising has been shown to reduce both the number of people who are new in consumption as people and smokers, being one of the most cost effective measures for prevention and control of smoking.
However, only 6 percent of the world population is protected by comprehensive bans on advertising, promotion and sponsorship snuff.
Therefore WHO has set focus on World No Snuff of this year's ban on advertising, promotion and sponsorship of snuff products in order to help curb the tobacco epidemic.
The Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy recognizes the importance of fighting this epidemic has decided to again focus the celebration of World No Snuff in continuing to advance the implementation of the smoking legislation that many benefits are contributing to the Spanish population, with special emphasis on the positive impact of smoke-free spaces snuff.
