A total of 39 unemployed workers have been hired during this quarter in the program of the County Councils on Employment to combat unemployment and contribute to the development of rural areas of the municipality.
This is done under the grant, part of the "Initiative for Rural Development in Local Authorities", and aims at promoting agricultural unemployment combat the employment of workers in the agricultural sector activities emerging.
This recruitment is done by performing a series of labor actions that contribute to the enhancement and development of endogenous depressed rural areas of the Region of Murcia.
This is the second of the two rounds of this year's program, which will allow to hire a total of 78 unemployed for a total of 340,488 euros.
The Councillor for Development and Employment, Mary Jose Baeza, explained that Totana is the municipality of the region that has most benefited from the County Councils, and thanks to the grant have hired a total of 78 people in two shifts for three months, from October to March.
The unemployed are doing cleaning and conditioning of roads, ditches, street cleaning and public land, respectively.
