Totana has participated, along with eight other municipalities in Murcia, in a conference of public awareness about the "European Year of Citizens" which promotes the region and that will develop an outreach project to understand the advantages of European policies .
The mayor, Isabel Maria Sanchez, was present at the opening of the Days of public awareness about the "European Year of Citizens" which promotes the Presidential and also attended by President Ramón Luis Valcárcel and Secretary of State EU pair, Iñigo López de Vigo.
The objective of this project is to spread among the citizens of the nine municipalities of the region which is chosen for its neighbors as a citizen of the EU and to show how the town has benefited from better services and infrastructure through initiatives and funds Community.
Similarly, it will create opportunities for citizen participation and encourage debate on Europe with various neighborhood groups Totana.
Along with Totana, were selected municipalities of Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Murcia, San Javier, Mula, Yecla and Eagles, respectively.
