VIII activities Solidarity Meeting Friends and Alzheimer patients Totana ended yesterday after being held throughout last week, organized by the Association "The Carrasca La Santa" and with the collaboration of the Department of Social Care and Participation Citizen, coinciding with the celebration of World Alzheimer's Day on Friday, September 21.
The day began yesterday co n a Mass at the shrine of Santa Eulalia and subsequent homage at the feet of the traditional oak sanctuary to all relatives and deaths from this disease, this association symbol for years.
Subsequently, there was a fellowship meal at a popular restaurant Totana, in which authorities, professionals, family and friends participated in it, and presented the diplomas of the activities organized.
The events began on Monday, the 17th, with bingo held in the Day Centre Day Care Service Totana Alzheimer's, and will continue on Tuesday, with a lunch totanero with residents and families in the center.
Also on Wednesday held the General Assembly of Members in the cultural center "Jail" and then a lecture by psychologist Maria Angeles Garrigós Esteban entitled "Meeting for psychological and emotional support for families of Alzheimer's patients" , which was also attended by the mayor of the bouquet, Maria Josefa Sanchez.
Also on Friday, the 21st, was held a lecture entitled "Comprehensive Care of Alzheimer's caregiver", with speakers Juan Antonio García Martínez (nurse), Natalia Latorre Sarabia (occupational therapist) and Maria Romero Garcia (psychologist).
That same day, then the concert held by the group "Friends of the Habanera".
